AT the end of 2022, Mizuno introduced the heavyweight OMOI series to its forged putter line-up, well regarded for precision and feel.
With 2024 fast approaching, Mizuno is about to drop three new models – the 04, 05 and 06.
“The extra weight of the MCRAFT OMOI line produces stability within some very compact profiles – very much the best of both worlds,” said Mizuno’s Chris Voshall.
“Now with an expansion to six shapes and the reaction from players at The Open, we’ll expect to see some more tour usage and the MCRAFT to evolve from a cult possession to a more regular sighting in 2024.”
Features include:
• Forged from soft 1025 carbon steel;
• CNC milled face for precisions/consistency;
• Heavyweight head for stability and roll; and
• Controlled face rotation – by balancing increased head-weight with a lighter grip.
Added David Llewellyn (Mizuno R&D): “With the OMOI series we added up to 28g depending on the model, without increasing the size of the original MCraft putters – it produces a very different feel and face rotation.”
MCRAFT OMOI 04: Square back with plumbers’ neck and 40-degree toe hang.
MCRAFT OMOI 05: Full mallet with centre shaft and face balanced.
MCRAFT OMOI 06: Winged mallet with slant neck and 35-degree toe hang.
Golfers can choose from three stunning finishes: New Double Nickel, bold Blue ION or intense Black ION.
