Ever-enterprising Cleveland Golf has just released an updated range of Frontline putters: the sub-$400 Frontline Elite collection.
As noted by Cleveland’s Product Manager, Casey Shultz, this new 2-blade and 6-mallet range offers advanced putter technology at an affordable pricepoint. The key features are a special Tungsten-injected face, that results in a 38% reduction in face rotation on off-centre hits, and Cleveland’s Speed Optimized Face Technology which enables greater overall speed/distance control. Add in a counterbalanced grip section and adjustable sole weighting and the various Frontline Elite models represent a significant technical boon for anyone’s putting game.
The 6 mallet models, comprising slant and spud versions of the popular Cero, Elevado and RHO models, also feature Cleveland’s 2135 Technology. Furthermore, the straighter-stroke models are fitted with oversized pistol grips while their arc-stroke counterparts come with a thinner Lamkin pistol grip.
For custom enthusiasts, an upgraded UST Mamiya All-In shaft is available that promises extra stiffness and greater strike consistency. Both this shaft and its stepless chrome stablemate are available in either straight or single-bend designs.
RRP: Frontline Elite (standard shaft) $359 / All-In shaft: $399
