Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy has won his maiden major title, taking out the US Open by eight strokes at Congressional Country Club, with Australian Jason Day finishing second.
Wichita win for Goggin
Australia’s Mathew Goggin has won the Wichita Open for his second win on the Nationwide Tour this year which guarantees him a place on the PGA Tour in 2012.
Aussie Zions fires in France
Matthew Zions won his maiden European Tour title as he carded a final round 69 to record a seven-shot victory at the Saint-Omer Open.
