Golf with the locals on the Sunshine Coast 

A ROUND of golf on the Sunshine Coast usually means meeting up with the locals. And by local, Cheryl from 123Travel, means the kangaroos. 

“I usually find myself concerned more about hitting a ball into a kangaroo than I do a bunker with many of them sun baking around the course,” Cheryl said. 

“However, I have to say my recent encounter was with a turtle that was making its way across the fairway to the nearby lake much to my surprise.

“The added pleasure of wildlife to a round of golf is certainly enhanced on the Sunshine Coast and we are blessed with a wide variety of animals and amazing courses to choose from. 

“I have put together a special package including playing at mix of courses around the coast. 

“From hinterland to the beach, you will certainly have your skills tested. You will play on courses from Noosa to Caloundra and enjoy some free time to enjoy the area.”

Join Cheryl from March-5-11 for five courses over seven days. Both women and men are welcome – from beginners to advanced players. 

Golfers can enjoy an on course lesson with a professional and spy a kangaroo or two along the way.

Electric carts are included along with trophies and prizes. Accommodation is in modern two- and three-bedroom apartments close to the beach.
