WEST Australian Minjee Lee accepted a record fourth Greg Norman Medal following a year in which she became just the fourth Australian to win at least three major titles.

The 29-year-old Lee was a three-stroke winner at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, edging out Grace Kim to be named Australia’s leading professional golfer in 2025.

Less than a month after Lee’s PGA Championship victory, Sydney’s Kim won her first major title, making eagle at the 72nd hole and again at the second playoff hole to win the Amundi Evian Championship.

It was the first time since Karrie Webb and Geoff Ogilvy in 2006, that Australia had two individual major championship winners in the same year.

“It has been an extremely satisfying year personally and for the fantastic team around me, and I am thrilled to receive the Greg Norman Medal,” said Lee, also the winner in 2018, 2021 and 2023.

“Winning another major was obviously a highlight this year, but watching Grace win her first at Evian was certainly another moment to remember. I have no doubt she will be nominated for plenty more awards like this one for years to come.”

Capping off her 2025 season, Lee would team up with Kim, Hannah Green and Steph Kyriacou to win the International Crowns Teams event.

“Playing with Grace, as well as Hannah (Green) and Steph (Kyriacou), and winning the International Crown representing Australia was another high point of a great year and shows the strength of Australian women on the world stage.”

While the two high achieving women professionals were celebrated, so too were the accomplishments of PGA Members across all areas of the golf industry at the annual PGA Awards night held in Brisbane during the week of the BMW PGA Championship.

PGA of Australia CEO, Gavin Kirkman, congratulated not only Lee, but all winners and nominees.

A winner of her third major title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship during 2025, Minjee Lee was awarded a fourth Greg Norman Medal at the recent PGA Awards night.

“The strength of golf in Australia is built upon the contributions made by our PGA Professionals, with their influence spanning every level of the game,” said Kirkman.

“Winning a fourth Greg Norman Medal is testament not only to Minjee’s exceptional talent and determination, but also the guidance she has received over many years by long-time coach and PGA Member award winner, Ritchie Smith.

“Whether guiding major champions, finding fun ways to bring juniors into our sport, managing facilities, or providing wonderful experiences plus service to golf club members across Australia, PGA Professionals are the custodians driving our sport forward.”

It was double cause for celebration for the Lee team with coach Ritchie Smith named the PGA National Coach of the Year – High Performance for the second straight year.

Reigning BMW Australian PGA champion and Order of Merit winner Elvis Smylie was awarded Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia Player of the Year, Kirsten Rudgeley made it four wins for West Australians with the Margie Masters WPGA Tour of Australasia Player of the Year award and Brad Burns took out the PGA Legends Tour Player of the Year.

A passionate advocate for All Abilities golf, Mark Tibbles from The Vines Resort and Country Club took out the PGA National Coach of the Year – Game Development gong, while Yamba Golf Club’s Jamie Corkill was named 2025 PGA National Club Professional of the Year.

PGA Professionals in management roles were also acknowledged with Carbrook Golf Club’s Scott Wagstaff the 2025 PGA National Management Professional of the Year and Ian Roberts named International PGA Professional of the Year for his work as the General Manager at Singapore Island Country Club.
