SOUTH Australia’s Grange Golf Club has elected its first woman president.
Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds officially became the club’s 25th president at the Annual General Meeting in September.
Ms Rantanen Reynolds replaced Bruno Battistella, who was the second longest serving president in the club’s history.
He held the office for eight years.
Prior to her appointment as president, Ms Rantanen Reynolds was vice-president, chair of the finance committee and a member of the strategy, risk and governance committee.
Ms Rantanen Reynolds was elected by members unopposed.
It is an understatement to say she is extremely well-qualified for the position at The Grange.
She brings to the role significant experience as a company director, serving on a number of boards including the board of Credit Union SA, the University of SA’s Governing Council, the Institute of Company Directors SA/NT Advisory Board.
And she has been vice-president and board member of Thoroughbred Racing NT; is a Certified Practising Accountant (Fellow); a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors and holds degrees of Master of Commercial Law and Master of Business Administration.
The Grange Golf Club has approximately 2100 members, a waiting list for new members and is in a strong financial position to continue to deliver on its vision to be South Australia’s premier golf facility.
