Paul Donahoo has a new role

FORMER touring professional Paul Donahoo has been appointed golf operations manager at Brookwater Golf and Country Club.

The 37-year-old started in his new role last month after spending seven years as assistant manager at Victoria Park Golf Club in Brisbane.

Donahoo is extremely familiar with Brookwater Golf and Country Club after spending a number of years at the Brookwater-based Queensland Academy of Sport.

During his playing days, Donahoo played the Australian and Asian circuit winning the Cairns Classic and the Pat O’Driscoll Real Estate/Tropical Auto Group Golf Classic at Capricorn Resort in Yeppoon.

Donahoo told Inside Golf he had developed a passion for business development.

“In my role, I want to re-establish Brookwater as the number one course in Queensland and within the top-15 in Australia for membership services, corporate days and tour groups.

Brookwater, which is located at Springfield 30 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD and 45 minutes from the Gold Coast, is a Greg Norman-designed layout.

It remains one of the Shark’s favourite courses in Australia.
