Viti Levu is a region of Fiji blessed with pristine beaches, sparkling reefs, cultural adventures, a laidback lifestyle and wide range of things to do, not to mention world class golf and resorts to suit all budgets, making it little wonder why Fiji’s Coral Coast is a firm favourite for families and holiday makers.
Hugging Fiji’s southern coast, the Coral Coast is just over an hour’s drive from Nadi’s international airport, and a three and half hour flight from Australia.
The stunning Coral Coast features sprawling family-friendly resorts, budget and boutique properties offering kids-clubs and fun-filled days on the water snorkelling, diving and surfing.
However for those who can drag themselves away from the pool or beach, there’s plenty more to keep visitors to Fiji busy. For a holiday that’s both affordable and chock full of adventure, maybe including a little golf, the Coral Coast ticks all the right boxes for a great getaway.

GOLF THE CORAL COAST
Natadola Bay
Surf lessons are on offer nearby, however it might be a round of golf at the internationally recognised Natadola Bay championship course which has plenty of appeal for visiting golfers.
The Natadola Bay course, the venue for significant professional and amateur championships, features a backdrop of coral reefs and the Pacific Ocean.
Less than 10 years ago the owners re-invested in the course by re-engaging Fijian golfing legend Vijay Singh, the original designer and a former World No.1, to make changes to 10 of the 18 holes. The sole purpose of the re-design was to make the demanding Natadola Bay fairer to the average player, whilst maintaining the integrity of the venue and ensuring it still tests the elite.
Measuring 6,566 metres from the championship tees, the par 72 course offers five tee positions on each hole, providing an enjoyable challenge to players of all skill levels.
Prior to its upgrade, the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course was officially opened for play in June of 2009 with the staging of the Fijian Open, won by then rookie professional, Victorian Matt Griffin. The course has since hosted the Fiji Open, Nomura Cup, Natadola Bay Fiji Classic and Fiji International tournaments.
It is open and available for play daily.
While styled in traditional South Pacific architecture, the clubhouse is the ultimate vantage point for breathtaking views across the golf course, coral reefs and rolling surf breaks. No round will be complete without enjoying a meal and a beverage from the open-air bar and restaurant.
