Inside Golf has announced that the publication will be a sponsor of the 2017 GMA Conference.
As a long-time supporter of GMA—providing content and coverage in our monthly print and online platforms for many years—Inside Golf is pleased to further that support during this monumental event in Australian golf.
“We are incredibly proud to be a part of this highly-important event in the Australian Golf industry,” says Sam Arthur, Publisher of Inside Golf. “With the entire industry currently undergoing a dramatic shift—as golfers’ needs and habits are rapidly changing—we feel that now is a critical time for us to help managers and their clubs to not only survive the current challenges in the industry, but also thrive well into the future. We believe that The GMA Conference is the perfect platform for that.”
GMA President Andrew Gay welcomed Inside Golf’s sponsorship of the event.
“GMA are proud to have Inside Golf, Australia’s most read golf magazine, involved in our upcoming conference,” he said. “Their support of the golf industry and of GMA in these interesting times is vital in helping Managers succeed in their challenging and ever changing roles.
“This year we have been overwhelmed by the number of sponsors and exhibitors that are keen to be involved and the exhibition space will give all delegates an opportunity of exploring what is being offered within the industry. The theme this year is “Now is the time to be different” with the theme symbolising the reality that the golf industry must adapt to the changes in society. Our keynote speakers were selected having regard to their relevant expertise and the regard for the importance of the subject matter in which they will be presenting.
“Hosting the conference in Adelaide has given us access to specialised conference spaces allowing us the opportunity to broaden delegate access to include key stakeholders from all facets of the Golf industry. Having a broader spectrum of golf industry representatives involved in the education, exhibition and networking components of the conference will only enhance the experience for those attending.”
The sponsorship of this event continues Inside Golf’s long tradition of helping to grow the game of golf at both grassroots and industry levels. The magazine annually supports and publicises a diverse variety of events for charities, junior golf, women’s golf and events for blind/deaf/disabled golfers, and was also recently the title sponsor of the PGA of Australia’s NSW/ACT Trainee Match Play Championship. Inside Golf also sponsors the QLD GMA Interstate Bursary program each year, and is a media sponsor of the QLD PGA Sunshine Tour.
The upcoming GMA National conference is held every two-years and it is Australia’s foremost Golf Management conference and an event that every Golf Club Manager and key industry stakeholders should seriously consider attending. In previous years the conference was limited to attendance by GMA members however, recognising the importance of the greater need, non-members can now also register to attend.
