Three-time Major winner Phil Mickelson said he was suspending his golf schedule indefinitely after his wife Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“After undergoing an extensive battery of tests Phil Mickelson's wife, Amy, has been diagnosed with breast cancer,” said a statement Mickelson’s website.
“More tests are scheduled but the treatment process is expected to begin with major surgery, possibly within the next two weeks.
“Mickelson has suspended his Tour schedule indefinitely.''
It isn't immediately clear whether Mickelson would be back in time for the US Open June 18-21.
